A job that doesn't leave a big carbon footprint. Sounds good, right? That’s exactly what we offer you at our office in Gdańsk. At Samskip we’re all about sustainable solutions and sending out green messages. As our new operations specialist you'll have a big part to play in this with your structured approach to managing vendors in Poland.
A standard job? No such thing at Samskip.
Don’t let the daily routine fool you. As an operations specialist your work may be structured, but it's also varied. Your task? Effectively managing vendors to ensure that 95% of our collections and deliveries are on time. Your job entails creating and sending demand forecasts to truckers, sending and updating driver notifications and controlling container stocks. You also respond rapidly to changing circumstances. With sparing the environment at the back of your mind at all times you will be working on:
- making sure the right daily and weekly truck capacity is available.
- reporting feedback from Customer Service to truckers.
- referring all additional transport costs to Customer Service.
- ensuring that stocks of empty containers are available for export forecasts.
- verifying invoices.
- sending equipment demand forecasts to Trade Management.
An international position based in historic Gdańsk
From Samskip's offices, you have an international impact on our operations and share in the success and development of one of Europe's largest transport companies. On land, at sea and by rail. Your expertise has an international impact at Samskip.
International? Certainly. We ship goods across the globe, and we need plenty of people to make this happen. This means your work reaches far beyond Poland alone, as you help customers from all over the world. As a company, we consciously promote sustainable and environmentally friendly transport and you regularly reap the benefits of this. That's because we deliver many of the products you see in your supermarket, with the lowest possible environmental impact.
A small office on the outskirts of Gdańsk
