CRM Specialist

Job Description

Where CRM meets Marketing. Implement and maintain a global CRM environment that will drive sophisticated marketing for our international transport operations

As a company that organizes thousands of international cargo transports every week, Samskip’s success depends substantially on the sophisticated use of the latest digital technologies. Within this context, we plan to introduce a new global CRM environment that will reach and serve our customers in the most effective ways possible. If you are a solution-oriented CRM expert who can design and deliver a brilliant CRM strategy as part of our Marketing team, we’d love to hear from you.

A key role within a growing company

Samskip has offices across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. We are a true leader in the innovation and implementation of sustainable and multimodal transport links across Europe. In Europe’s largest port, our headquarters in Rotterdam is a vital and vibrant hub in this network. It’s busy, it’s fun and every day is different as you play a central role in our digital journey.

At the heart of a complex CRM and Marketing environment

Samskip is changing the way that logistics thinks and works. The new CRM environment is central to this as the way in which we target potential and existing customers with information and solutions that respond directly to their needs. As the CRM Specialist responsible for the new CRM environment you will therefore need a strong knowledge of CRM and its possibilities, along with the project management skills necessary to expertly oversee every step of the implementation. With this will come an instinctive understanding of marketing in terms of how to best reach, attract and interact with customers. In doing so you transform customer needs into a technical solution whilst also supporting the implementation and operation of new solutions.

Working as part of the Marketing team, your core activities include:

  • Implementation of a CRM system for all Samskip companies globally;
  • Needs analysis, design and development of solutions in the system;
  • Operation and maintenance of the system;
  • Organizing post-implementation training for new staff;
  • Implementation of new versions of the CRM environment.

Over and above this, you continuously seek to optimize the sales process via the CRM environment, setting up and maintaining the new Samskip Sales Process. You also take part in overall Marking and Communications processes and play a central role in managing Direct Marketing campaigns aligned with our Sales team in all Samskip Companies.

A place to grow

Samskip is a company where you are always encouraged to grow both professionally and personally. To make that happen we give you access to wide-ranging development opportunities including training and e-learning through our Samskip Academy. Other benefits include:

  • Market competitive salary including holiday allowance and 13th month;
  • 28 days of annual leave;
  • Company pension plan;
  • The flexibility to work from home some of the time in agreement with the manager.

Are you the brilliant CRM mind we are looking for?

This is a truly exciting opportunity to be the mastermind behind a global CRM program that will add huge value to Samskip’s ongoing and future business success. We want you to succeed and we will give you the platform and the resources to show the world what you can do.

To apply for this position you should be a true CRM expert or have significant experience implementing CRM solutions. But you also need to be independent and solution-oriented, with a real instinct for the targeted marketing possibilities enabled by the cutting-edge use of CRM. Beyond those core skills, you are able to work independently as well as part of a team, and you have the communication and organizational skills that enable you to present information that engages others within our fast-moving and future-focused work environment.

The more technical requirements are:

  • Bachelor/Masters education in a relevant subject;
  • Experience in project management for the implementation of CRM environments;
  • Ability to think in solutions and reforms;
  • Good English skills, both written and spoken.
