For every company, and certainly for Samskip, it is crucial to deliver the best possible customer experience to our customers every single day. At Europe's largest logistics company, we can't give this task to just any logistics co-ordinator. That's why we need you. You are the first point of contact for clients waiting for the thousands of consignments we ship every week. Providing good service is in your blood.
A standard job? We don't have those at Samskip.
Many employers promise a varied role, but we can actually make that a reality. That's because, as a logistics co-ordinator at Samskip, you have a job with clients and colleagues in many different countries, and in even more different cultures. You're in contact with our entire company, from the trucks to our ships, and you're involved with the entire Samskip transport chain from top to bottom. From accepting bookings to customer service, you influence everything, and you stand out due to your outstanding service. Thanks to you, all our freight reaches our clients. In addition, your role involves:
- (Occasionally) taking business trips.
- Maintaining flawless accounts.
An international position based in the ports of Norway.
From Samskip's offices, you have an international impact on our operations and share in the success of one of Europe's largest transport companies. On land, at sea and by rail. Your expertise has an international impact at Samskip.
International? Certainly. We ship goods across the globe, and to make that happen, we need many people. This means your work reaches much further than Norway alone, and you can literally see your work come and go while you look out of the windows of our offices. As we like to say: “we have the best view in the country”. Sustainable and environmentally-friendly transport is very important to us as a company, and you regularly reap the benefits of this. That's because we deliver many of the products you see in your supermarket, with the lowest possible environmental impact.
Quality, everywhere and always.
You can work in Oslo or Ålesund. In both cases, you work in a small team full of real transport professionals in a brand-new building. We're happy to work with you to find the best solution, so you can work close to home. Together with your colleagues, who work in your office or elsewhere in the world, you ensure smooth operations under the leadership of your operational manager in Oslo. As a team, you don't just meet our clients' expectations: by working together, you exceed those expectations.
You can count on us.
In addition to a non-standard job, a job in which you see the entire country and an international working environment, we offer the following based on a 40-hour working week:
- A salary appropriate to your knowledge and background.
- 25 days annual leave.
- A pension scheme and personal insurance
- Limitless opportunities for self-development.
Actions speak louder than words.
We've already said it: providing service is in your blood, and you put this into practice with your problem-solving capacity and analytical mindset. You immediately see where you're needed and what the opportunities are, and you're able to take decisions quickly. A hectic, exciting working life? No problem whatsoever, you wouldn't want it any other way. Because where else can you make the most of your enterprising, detail-orientated personality? So far so good? We'd love to hear from you if you also have:
- a bachelor's degree in logistics or transport;
- 2-5 years' experience in a similar role;
- work experience with maritime and multimodal transport;
- an excellent command of written and spoken Norwegian and English;
- a willingness to work a weekend shift once every 4 to 6 weeks.
